Der alte Baubestand wurde vor Beginn der Arbeiten fast vollständig entfernt. Erhalten blieben nur das alte Hafenamt und ein kleines Verwaltungsgebäude. Das Baugebiet liegt zwischen dem Magdeburger Hafen und der Nordelbe. Entwickelt wurde das Projet von der Hafen City Hamburg GmbH. The old building stock, except the Port Authority and an small buisness building, was removed from this area before the construction work started. The planning area is placed between the Magdeburg harbour and the Nordelbe. The project is realised from the Hafen City Hamburg GmbH.
