Cityscape and the Cuno power station of Herdecke in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The power station was built in 1908 as a heating plant. It is located on Lake Harkortsee, a barrier lake of the Ruhr river. The funnel - "Cuno" - is widely visible and considered a landmark of Herdecke. Deconstruction of the site started in 2005.
