The Rhine between the city of Düsseldorf on the right, and the town of Dormagen on the left riverbank in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The river runs in various bends through the landscape and passes the urban area of Düsseldorf. It circumvents the peninsula which includes the nature preserve area of Zonser Grind, which is located in the Zons part of the town of Dormagen. On the riverbanks, there are various agricultural fields and forests as well as industrial sites and commercial buildings
