It was built as a fortress to protect the water today in Gelsenkirchen district alder and to 1433 was the family seat of the mountains. In the first half of the 16th Century, rebuilt into a castle and in the last quarter of the 18th Century changed again, to the mansion of the system presented in the style of late baroque to classicism at the threshold. It is now used as a hotel-restaurant
