Overlooking the tree circle in Maulburg in Baden-Wuerttemberg. Not the Celts, but remnants of the Second World War have created this tree circle in Maulburg. On the mountain ridge of the Dinkelberg between the southern Black Forest and the Swiss border in the last years of the war a radio direction finding station with a large rotating directional antenna was installed. It was used for aircraft positioning. After the war the plant was dismantled, but the circular foundation not completely. Meanwhile bushes and trees have grown as a circular wood from the remains of the foundation
