The landscape surrounding the town of Markgröningen in the Ludwigsburg district of the state of Baden-Württemberg. The area is also called Strohgäu. Because of its very nutritious earth, it is renowned for its agriculture, such as the cultivation of sugar beets. The earth in the region contains loam. Therefore the region is also called "loam flatlands"
