The Christ Church of Mainz is an evangelical church and was built in 1896-1903 to designs by Edward Kreyßig. On 2 July 1903 was consecrated the church. After the destruction of the Second World War it was rebuilt in 1952-1954 and 31 Dedicated in October. The church is surrounded in the center of a newly landscaped boulevard
