Baltrum is a dune island off the coast of East Friesland in Lower Saxony. It is located in the middle of the seven inhabited East Frisian Islands Chain and is required both by area and by population the smallest. Parts of the island and the Wadden Sea around the island belong to the National Park Wadden Sea
