Fortress Sponeck in the Jechtingen part of the borough of Sasbach on Kaiserstuhl in the state of Baden-Württemberg. The ruins of the high castle are located on a rock above the Rhine. On the site there used to be an antique castle. The parts and buildings visible today are from the 19th and 20th century. Remaining are only parts of a stone wall and corner towers
