The major attraction of Gotha in Thuringia is Castle peace stone. The early Baroque castle was built by architect Caspar Vogel. The museum complex includes the following museums and cultural institutions: the Castle Museum, Historical Museum, Museum of Nature, Ekhoff Theatre and the Ducal Museum. At the oval plaza, the monument is for Ernst the Pious,the first duke of the House of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg. On the triangular square is the water art.
