09.10.2004 Wärmeluftbild (Infrarotaufnahme) Blick auf den Leipziger Platz nahe dem Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. Als achteckiger Stadtplatz entstand er 1732-1734 nach Plänen von Philipp Gerlach. Wegen seiner Form hieß er anfangs "Octogon am Potsdamer Tor". Erst 1814 erhielt das Karree seinen jetzigen Namen.
