On the island of the roundabout is the Victory Column. This monument is one of the landmarks of Berlin. It was built as a national monument of the unification wars on a design by Heinrich Strack. At a high column is the gilded Victoria. The sculpture was created by Friedrich Drake. In the background the Bellevue Park can be seen. He is part of the official residence of the President. On the day of admission can be seen here the structures for the summer party of the President
