Im Februar 2004 haben die Arbeiten zum Neubau der Berliner Brücke begonnen. Abgeschlossen wird das Bauvorhaben Mitte 2006. Dies sieht eine entsprechende Objektplanung vor, die in der Bauverwaltung der Stadt Halle erarbeitet wurde. Das Projekt wird insgesamt etwa 28 Mio. Euro kosten.
