From Juri-Gagarin-Ring we look towards the southwest in the old town of Erfurt in Thuringia. There are a lot of former monasteries and historic churches. Directly on the residential area - On the hill - is the Nikolaiturm the residue of a former parish church. To the left, in the Augustinian road, stands the Augustinian monastery where Martin Luther lived as a monk and worked. Further afield, the St. Michael's Church, the Church of All Saints and the Georg church tower can be seen. In the center of the image is the Arts and Crafts School Erfurt
