Die römisch-katholische Kirche St. Michael im Saarbrücker Stadtteil St. Johann wurde 1923 nach Entwürfen des Architekten Hans Herkommer erbaut. Das Bauwerk vereint Stilelemente aus Mittelalter, Renaissance und Barock in eine insgesamt moderne Gesamtkomposition mit expressionistischer Formensprache. St. Michael ist von der Grundfläche her die größte Kirche der Landeshauptstadt von Saarland und ist Dienstsitz des Pfarrers der aus der Vereinigung von vier Kirchen entstandenen neuen Großpfarrei St. Johann. Roman Catholic church St. Michael in district St. Johann in city Saarbrücken was built after drafts by architect Hans Herkommer in 1923. The building unites stylistic elements of Middle Ages, Renaissance and Baroque to an altogether modern composition with expressionistic pattern. St. Michael has the biggest floor area of all churches in Saarbrücken and is the new priest`s office of St. Johann, which developed out of the fusion of four churches.
