Die Erlöserkirche im Zentrum von Bad Homburg in Hessen ist die evangelische Hauptkirche der Kurstadt und entstand im Rahmen des Kirchbauprogramms von Kaiser Wilhelm II. Die schon zu Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts bestehenden Pläne zum Bau der Pfarrkirche konnten so von den Architekten Max Spitta und Franz Schwechten ausgeführt und die Kirche 1908 eingeweiht werden. Sie vereint Stilmittel der byzantinischen Kunst mit Elementen der deutschen Hochromanik. Church of the Redeemer in centre of town Bad Homburg in Hesse is the evangelical main church of the spa town and developed within the scope of church building program of Wilhelm II. Built by architects Max Spitta and Franz Schwechten, the church was finally inaugurated in 1908. It combines Byzantine art with Romanesque elements.
