Die Eisenstadt Ferropolis entstand aus den Überresten des Braunkohle Tagebaus Golpa-Nord. Der Tagebau wurde geflutet. Einige Braunkohlebagger erinnern an den Tagebau. Heute finden in Ferropolis Festivals, Konzerte und an dere Veranstaltungen statt.Außerdem beherbergt die Halbinsel ein Museum. Ferropolis, called City of Metal. It is situated on the area of the former opencast mining Golpa-Nord. The opencast mining got flooded. Some of the huge excavators are situatet on the area. Today festivals, concerts and other events take place there. There also is a museum.
