Der am Main-Rhein-Donau-Kanal gelegene Schweinfurter Hafen ist die Drehscheibe zwischen den Verkehrsträgern in Nordbayern. In ihm werden hauptsächlich Schütt-, Stück- und Flüssiggut umgeschlagen. Es schließt sich ein Industriegebiet mit etwa 3 Dutzend Betrieben an.
