Der etwa 60 Meter hohe Wasserturm in Eilenburg-Ost in Sachsen wurde 1916 in der aufwendigen Bauart Otto Intzes vom Unternehmen Dyckerhoff und Widmann AG für die große Zelluloidfabrik gebaut. Nachdem er in der Zeit der DDR immer mehr verfallen war, wurde er im Jahr 2002 wieder instandgesetzt. Der Turm dient nun als Löschwasserspeicher für das benachbarte Industrie- und Gewerbegebiet " Kunstoffcenter am ECW-Wasserturm " und gilt als das wohl eindrucksvollste technische Denkmal der Stadt. About 60 metres high water tower in Eilenburg-East in Saxony was build 1916 in elaborate style of Otto Intzes by company Dyckerhoff und Widmann AG for a big celluloid factory. Gone to rack during the time of DDR, the tower was refurbished in 2002. It now serves as a fire water reservoir for industrial area " Kunstoffcenter am ECW-Wasserturm " nearby and is regarded as the most impressive technical monument of the town.
