Das schweizer Kernkraftwerk Beznau mit den beiden Druckwasserreaktoren von je 365 Megawatt MW liegt an der Aare kurz vor deren Mündung in den Rhein.Beznau-1 und Beznau-2 sind 1969 bzw. 1972 in Betrieb gegangen. Beznau-1 ist damit das erste Kernkraftwerk der Schweiz. The Swiss nuclear power plant Beznau with its two presswater reactors of 365 MW each is located at the Aar river just before its mouth into Rhine. Beznau-1 and Beznau-2 were activated in 1969 respectively in 1972. Therewith Beznau-1 is the oldest nuclear power plant of Switzerland.
