Das Schloßmuseum im Neuen Palais am Schlossplatz wurde um 1730 durch Fürst Günther I. von Schwarzburg-Sondershausen als Witwensitz für seine Gemahlin Fürstin Auguste Dorothea von Schwarzburg-Arnstadt gebaut. Der streng rationalistische Bau beherbergt die Sammlung "Mon plaisir" der Fürstin, eine weltweit wohl einzigartige Miniaturstadt mit über 400 Puppen, in der Szenen des höfischen Lebens nachgestellt sind. Castle museum in New Palace at castle square was built around 1730 by prince Günther I. von Schwarzburg-Sondershausen for his spouse princess Auguste Dorothea von Schwarzburg-Arnstadt. The museum hosts her collection " Mon plaisir ", a probably worldwide unique miniature town with over 400 dolls, recreating scences of courtly life.
