Das 2006 eröffnete Hans Otto Theater ist das Brandenburgischen Landestheaters. Der Neubau des Hans Otto Theaters auf dem Kultur- und Gewerbestandort in der Schiffbauergasse wurde 1997 begonnen und 2006 abgeschlossen. Bauherrin für das 26,5 Mio teure Projekt war die Stadt Potsdam und die Landesentwicklungsgesellschaft Brandenburg.
