Menton ist eine Stadt im französischen Département Alpes-Maritimes, an der Cote d' Azur in der Region Provence-Alpes-Cote d' Azur, mit etwa 30.000 Einwohnern. Die barocke Kathedrale Saint-Michel stammt aus dem Jahr 1675. Vor der Kirche befindet sich ein Mosaik mit dem Wappen der Grimaldis, die die Stadt jahrhundertelang beherrschten.
