Blick auf die Vogelinsel im Becken von Arcachon. Ihren Namen verdankt sie den zahlreichen Wasservögeln, denen sie zur Rast und Futtersuche dient. In dem Naturschutzgebiet sind lediglich 4 Hüttendörfer zu finden. Die Küsten der Inseln werden wie im gesamten Becken für die Austernzucht genutzt, die hier durch Ebbe und Flut ermöglicht wird. View at the bird island in theBay of Arcachon. It has its name from the many water birds, which use the place to rest and forage. In the nature reserve only 4 hut villages are located. The shores of the island are used as in the whole basin for the cultivation of oysters, which is made possible by the tides.
