Blick auf die Stadt Engelthal in Mittelfranken. 1243 wurde das Dorf Swinach zum Sitz des Dominikanerinnenklosters Engelthal. Die Klosterbauten in Engelthal entstanden in der zweiten Hälfte des 13. Jahrhunderts. An das alte Dorf Swinach erinnert heute nur mehr die Willibaldskapelle. Die Klosterkirche war dem Hl. Johannes dem Täufer geweiht, sie wurde um 1265 eingewölbt (Bildmitte).
