View of the castle Plön built in the 17th Century. It is one of the largest castles in Schleswig-Holstein and was formerly the residence of the Dukes of Schleswig-Holstein-Plön. Since January 2002, it belongs to the Akademie Schloss Plön Fielmann and after a reconstruction it serves as a training and qualification place of the optics industry.
