Blick auf das Residenzschloß Saalfeld. Das Residenzschloß wurde ursprünglich als Gasthof erbaut und heute vom Landratsamt genutzt. Durch eine Erbteilung der sächsischen Länder kam Herzog Albrecht von Sachsen-Gotha in Besitz des Saalfelder Landes. 1674 wurde Saalfeld zu seiner Residenz und der nutzte die Anlage als Stadtschloß.
