Blick auf das Marmorpalais am Heiligen See in Potsdam/Brandenburg.Das Marmorpalais entstand seit 1787 für Friedrich Wilhelm II nach Plänen Carl von Gontards. Der Innenausbau mit seiner frühklassizistischen Einrichtung wurde jedoch erst weit nach dem Tod des Königs (1797) im Jahre 1845 beendet. Der Konzertsaal, das angrenzende Vorzimmer und das orientalische Kabinett gehören zu den bedeutenden Raumschöpfungen von Carl Gotthard Langhans, der nach Gontard die Bauleitung übernommen hatte.
