Blick auf das Hotel Piesteritzer Hof in Piesteritzer Werkssiedlung , der größten autofreie Wohnsiedlung in Deutschland. 1916 bis 1919 entstand die Gartenstadt nach Plänen von Paul Schmitthenner und Otto Rudolf Salvisberg für etwa 2000 Beschäftigte des angrenzenden Stickstoffwerkes. Sie wurde 1986 in die Denkmalliste der DDR aufgenommen und steht seitdem unter Denkmalschutz. Das Hauptgebäude beherbergt heute das Hotel Piesteritzer Hof// The Piesteritzer employee housing is the largest car-free housing development in Germany. From 1916 to 1919, the garden city was built to plans by Paul Schmitthenner and Otto Rudolf Salvisberg for about 2000 employees of the adjacent nitrogen plant. It was recorded in 1986 in the list of monuments of the GDR and has since become a historical monument.
