Blick auf Friedrichskoog mit Hafen und Baustelle. Friedrichskoog ist eine Gemeinde im Südwesten des Kreis Dithmarschen zwischen der offenen Nordsee und der Elbmündung. Ursprünglich durch Landwirtschaft geprägt kam Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts die Fischerei hinzu, mittlerweile ist es vor allem ein Touristenort. Die Stadt hat ca. 2400 Einwohner und ist bekannt für ihre Seehundstation. Der Friedrichskooger Hafen wurde 1853-1854 gebaut. Damals wie heute dient er vor allem als Hafen für Fisch und Krabben. In der Nähe entsteht zur Zeit eine Indoorspielhalle in Form eines Wal.
