Blick auf das Ensemble der Kohle- Kraftwerk bei Neurath und Niederaußem in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Das Kraftwerk Niederaußem ist ein von der RWE Power mit Braunkohle betriebenes Grundlastkraftwerk in Bergheim-Niederaußem (Rhein-Erft-Kreis). Der Wind treibt die aus den Kühltürmen und Schloten austretenden Rauchfahnen kilometerweit in das Umland. RWE hat am Standort in Zusammenarbeit mit Linde und BASF eine Pilotanlage zur CO2-Abscheidung aufgebaut. Ensemble of the RWE coal power plant in Neurath and Niederaussem in North Rhine-Westphalia.
