Blick auf das ehemalige Rathaus in Wanne-Eickel, einem Stadtteil von Herne in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Das Gebäude im Neu-Renaissance-Stil wurde 1905 eröffnet und diente zunächst als Rathaus für die Stadt Wanne und später auch für die Stadt Eickel. Mit dem Zusammenschluss der Städte Wanne-Eickel und Herne wurde hier das Sozialamt untergebracht. Das Gebäude steht heute unter Denkmalschutz. View to the former townhall of Wanne-Eickel, an district of the city Herne in Nord Rhine-Westphalia. The neo-renaissance building was constructed in 1905. It was used as townhall for the city Wanne and later also for the City Eickel. With the fusion of the cities Wanne-Eickel and Herne the social assistance office moved in. Today the building have landmark status.
