Blick auf den Bismarckturm in Wurzen. Als Standort für den Turm wählte man den Wachtelberg in Dehnitz bei Wurzen aus. Die Einweihung fand am 1.4.1909 statt. Als Baumaterial wurden Lüptitzer Quarzporphyr und Bruchsandstein verwendet. Der Turm ist 1,5 m tief in den Felsen gegründet und ruht auf einer dicken Zementbetonsohle. Das Bauwerk wurde aus ideologischen Gründen in "Wachtelbergturm" umbenannt.
