Areal um das Schloss Neideck am nord-östlichen Altstadtrand der Kreisstadt Arnstadt südlich von Erfurt, Thüringen. Bis auf den Schlossturm ist das ehemalige Wasserschloss im Stil der Renaissance nur noch als Ruine erhalten. Der 65 Meter hohe Turm mit kupferbeschlagener Haube und Helm wurde 1998/99 restauriert und ist begehbar. In den letzten Jahren konnte auch die Sicherung und Erhaltung der Neideckruine fortgesetzt werden. Area around castle Schloß Neideck at northeastern old city of county town Arnstadt in south of Erfurt, Thuringia. Apart from the tower, the former water castle in Renaissance style is only remained as a ruin. Accessible 65 metres high tower with copper-bottomed cap and spire was restored in 1998/99. Through the last years preservation of ruinous castle was continued.
