18.10.2005 Ardorf; Der Ems-Jade-Kanal verbindet die Ems bei Emden mit der Jade bei Wilhelmshaven. Er ist 72,3 km lang, hat sechs Schleusen, und ist für Schiffe bis zu 33m Länge, 6,20m Breite und 1,70m Tiefgang befahrbar. Der Kanal wird vorwiegend von Sportschiffen genutzt. Wichtigste Stadt entlang des Kanals ist Aurich.
